I'm a mess maker!

Tuesday June 10, 2008
I've decided I deserve some new clothes and with the end of the school year I need those clothes NOW for the award ceremonies, concerts etc. My new sewing room started off SO neat and tidy until I started my new wardrobe en devour. When I'm sewing I stay totally focused on what I'm sewing and have a total mess on the floor and work surfaces when the sewing is done... and I usually dive into another project before I clean up the first mess. How about you????

I can’t even imagine cleaning up before I finish the project! How often do I have to go back and redo something? How often do I need some of the fabric to do something else to the project–can’t even throw it away until i have the item/s ready to wear. What’s the point of cleaning up along the way–is my excuse as well. Plus, I have to sew in my bedroom because I live with my daughter in a 2 bedroom condominum which has large rooms, but none extra for sewing. Thank God my bedroom is large enough, but I can’t put up the sewing/cutting table until the “season” of my sewing drive is over. And I hope it lasts a while considering all that Wal-Mart $1/yard fabric I bought! The last time I put up my sewing, it was years and years before I got back to it!

Sewing should be fun and relaxing…….
it isn’t possible if you have to keep cleaning up before you are finished making a mess! My craft/sewing room stays in a mess. I wouldn’t be able to find anything if it was clean.
