Save those Scraps!

Tuesday November 18, 2008
Only the tiniest tiny scrap gets thrown away in my house... and I usually have a hard time parting with those tiny scraps... there must be something I could do with those scraps! Teeny tiny yo-yos only use a tiny scrap of fabric.
As I started sewing bottle gift bags out of Christmas fabric, I suddenly remembered that I could make Christmas cards with the little scraps. One less thing to buy and a little less going into the land fill! What could be better.

I love the fabric on your cards, or maybe I just love fabric. I don’t understand what color copier transfer paper is. Maybe you can go over that when you teach the kindergartners.

If you hate getting rid of even the smallest of small scraps, then purchase an embellisher. With this, even the small bits can be used to make new fascinating fabric, which can then be used to make bags, etc.

Also, small scraps used between two sheets of disolvable fabric, then free machined over, will also become very original new items. So keep them all – I do!
