Support Our Troops and Veterans!

Sunday December 28, 2008
The holidays are always accompanied by a "let down" period... You know... the after holiday blahs. Can you imagine how that feeling could be amplified when you are far from home and it seemed like the whole world remembered you during the holidays and then the packages stop?
If we all take some time to sew for the troops, our sewing time could be therapeutic to see us through the blah spell and definitely lift the spirits of our troops.

Please add this worthy cause to your list of hospital sewing projects — making colorful pillows for very sick children:

Debbie,

Under sewing for the troops, please, add http://www.sewmuchcomfort.org/ This is an organization that can really use sewing skills to support our wounded troops.

This is a very wonderful organization. I have been sewing for them for several years. They provide all the supplies, patterns and instructions you need. They also tell you which garments are presently needed the most.
There is no pressure as you can just sew when you have the time.
You have to sew a sample garment for their inspection, as that is how they maintain the Quality for our wounded soldiers.
All sewers, please consider this organization!
