Laundry Bag

Monday July 13, 2009
While we were on vacation, I used the screen beach bag as a laundry bag. It worked great to prevent mildew etc, but it also was over-stuffed and over-flowing by the time we got home. When my children were young we made laundry bags out of pillowcases for camping. They are a great way to tote laundry to the laundromat or for kids at camp.

As kids, whenever we went anywhere overnight, my parents had us take TWO of one thing: pillowcases. One to sleep on and one for our laundry. Since we each had different colors for our sheets (yellow for me, blue for brother, pink for sister) this was one less thing for us to worry about.

When I first had children, I used pillow cases for laundry bags. Then I read that this was not a good idea. I dont remember why. Now I am going to start using them again. Thanks!
