Heat Wave!

Watching the weather maps for the USA, many of us are already in for some heat and I know it's coming my way.  Those that work outdoors are in for a challenging couple of days as the temperatures soar past 90. By using mass production sewing methods I am able to keep a bag full of Keep Cool Neck Scarves ready for the hot days since many people I know work outdoors.
I try to stay prepared by having frozen water bottles on hand. I wrap them in Can Wraps to send out the door with everyone. If they are outdoors in the heat, the water melts enough to have nice cold water when they need it. Between the Keep Cool Neck Scarves and Can Wraps, I know I can sew things that help keep things cool and at least a bit more comfortable than it would be without them!

Hats are very important for keeping cool as well. Getting the sun off your head will help a lot. I have dark hair, and wearing a light-color hat makes a difference.

A headband/sweatband is helpful for keeping the sweat out of our eyes. Extra ponytail scrunchies are useful too.
