I Love Solutions!

If I see a problem, I try to find a solution... and I had a problem that needed a solution!  I usually keep my keys in my pocket when I am out shopping but I had on shorts that didn't have pockets so I tossed the keys in my pocketbook. All was fine until I was trying to find my keys in a dark parking lot with some people "hanging around" that left me feeling much less than comfortable. So I came up with a solution which of course required a little bi t of sewing on every bag I own. The end result has my keys where I can always find them, whether I am wearing pants with pockets or not.

Recently I had that problem which ended with my keys being locked in my car! What I need is a key pocket I can sew and attach to ME when I don’t have pocket in my pants and don’t want to carry my purse.

I found a solution to searching for my keys in my purse. I bought a notion in the quilting section of my local fabric store. It is the Fons and Porter scissors holding notion that has a retractable reel that fastens onto your small scissors handle. I clipped it onto the strap of my purse and attached my keys (car and house) to the end that is made to hold the scissors. This works great because I can pull on the keys to pull the retractable cord out and unlock my car. Then, I just let go of the keys and the cord retracts. When I need to start my car I can unfasten the keys and put the car key in the ignition. Hope this helps.
