Now that I've finished the bed skirts and I have scraps from the platform left, I am working on some simple pillow covers to make their dorm room cozy... if nothing else the pillows will end up being tossed around the room for a pillow fight. I'll see how things go and may make them more for Christmas this year. Since I used sheets for the bed skirts, I bought them both pillow cases that match the sheets.
When we were out shopping, we bought extra long comforters at a real bargain price but neither of the girls are thrilled with the color so they are designing their own duvet cover fabric. Did I mention that they have the same first name? Now they are discussing decorating white sheets with their name in all different colors. Once they finish their fabric designing, I'll make the duvet covers for their comforters. By them using all different colors, just about anything they bring in the room will "match"... a perfect compromise when they don't have the same "favorite color".
