As you are working on Halloween costumes, are you working on your holiday dream list? One of the most common questions I hear from spouses or close friends is... What kind of sewing machine (or serger) should I buy for my (fill in the blank, wife, husband girlfriend, mother, step mother)?
There is no one answer I can give. Sewing is a very diversified topic. If you ever doubt how diversified sewing is, stand in the middle of almost any room and look at all the fabric creations in the room... or things joined with thread... all of them are considered sewn. I have no idea if someone wants a machine to make lingerie or to make heavy upholstery covers, so it is best to do the research on what you are asking for before you send that spouse out the to store. You're much more likely to end up with a gift that will meet your needs and do everything you want it to do.
