Time is starting to run out for anyone who wants to create their own terrific costume. To me, trying to do everything is a great way to induce un-necessary stress. That stress is not going to make the costume memorable. I remember some of the favorite costumes for our kids were actually worn out. The very first costume to get worn out was a "Tweety" bird that was made from a yellow blanket sleeper. We had to cut the feet off the pajamas because my son did not want to give up his "Tweety" pajamas. The crazy thing is the costume was a simple mask and the yellow sleeper.... it couldn't have been simpler!'
Then there was the the red sweat suit that I got on clearance for two dollars. All I did was make additions to transform the sweats in to a clown costume. The pom poms stayed on the front of those pajamas and they were almost shorts rather than pants when they were finally given up.
