Keep Kids and Beginners Busy on Weekends and Time Off

I know it is easier to hand out a couple of bucks and head to the dollar store to let the kids shop for gifts but imagine how much more pride they will have in gifts that they made with their own two hands especially for the person they are giving the gift... And it's a great way to use the time that normally builds anxiety.

If you have a friend who you know is tight on funds, give them an early gift by helping them learn to sew and make some gifts while they are learning. Teaching them to sew, gives them a life skill that they can use forever and helps them achieve filling their gift list.

I so agree.. we have forgotten the real meaning of CHRISTmas to such a degree that millions don’t even know what it means !
teaching a skill like knitting, sewing & baking ,esp this year, not only saves money, but I think it shows the recipient that you really put some thought into their gift. The $ store item is long forgotten , but the sewn hot pad remains years later :-)
