Sew Your Own...

By January 16, 2013

Follow me on:

wrist or ankle weightIn my newsletter last week,  I talked about my new addiction to exercising.  We have a lot of exercise equipment because when we quit smoking we used our cigarette money to buy exercise equipment.  The only problem is that you can't always find exactly what you want.  I want wrist and ankle weights that my wrist can handle since it had surgery rather recently. Everything I found was at least five pounds each and cost a fortune so I decided it was time to make my own in the weight I wanted. This line of thinking also allows me to build up gradually, which is the way I like it and the way I am achieving my goals.

I love the weights…thank you. I have nerve damage and 5 lb weights are far too heavy and thick ankles so that ankle weights I purchase are slide all over, and I must say your ideas make them much prettier. I like the idea so much when I’m done with them, I’ll have to wear them around the house doing housework on the days when I just don’t want to go outside in the cold for my walk. Thanks!

You always have the best ideas!
Congrats on smoking cessation. I’ve never smoked but I can only imagine! I wonder if its like trying to lose a chunk of weight? And keep it off.
Thanks for sharing your patterns and other inspirational ideas. I always look forward to your newsletter.
