I've been making Xmas Bags, for those unusually sized gifts.

Ingredients

Xmas type material (green, red, silver, white, other other festive material, with trees, snowflakes, angels...you get the idea.)

Measure gift size. Double width and add at least 5 inches. Add at least 5 inches to height measurement.

Make drawstring casing. Along width side, fold & iron down 1/4 " material to opposite side. Along width side, fold down 1 " to opposite side and press. Sew zigzagged along 1/4" folded area.

Decorative Trim Use your lace, bricbrac, decorative bias tape Attach bricbrac, lace and other decorative to the material either at the edge of the casing or somewhere down on the body of the bag.

Finishing Details

Wrong size material together match, top and trimmed areas, and edges together. Zigzag edge and bottom. Turn fabric to correct side.

Drawstring Details

At seamed line, within cased area, carefully cut a small hole (what ever size you'll need to draw a yard, or cord through) on both sides of the seam. Take your yarn (I use to pieces) attach to a safety pin, thread through the hole, through to the other side. Cut off yard, to where you can tie a nice sized shoelace bow! Insert gift, tie up neatly, and your gift is wrapped.

Added Bonus: These bags, can be reused from year to year!

Happy Holidays!
