Special Thanks to Faye for sharing her tips and this quick simple project! What a great way to use up pants that don't fit any more.

Your presser foot is a great third hand when needed. Just place your fabric under it when taking out a seam.

When working on some fabric a single thread works best and can be used on any machine for stitching. Just place the fabrics under the presser foot as normal turn the wheel to pull up the bobbin thread through the fabrics. Unthread the top thread and thread the bobbin thread BACKWARDS through the needle, the guides, and the tension disc, to a length longer than your seam so the machine tension will control it. This is very good for fine and sheer fabrics.

Old pants leg make great pillows for kids room and yours too. Just cut off the length you want stuff, and hem the edges. Tie a ribbon on the end, or close them any way you want.
