I have used adhesive-back hook-and-loop fastener for several projects but it comes off after being used a few times. Fabric glue doesn’t seem to help. What can I do?

Adhesive hook-and-loop tape needs a smooth surface to adhere well. If the fabric has a nap, the bond won’t last long, especially with repeated use. For a more secure closure, buy non-adhesive tape and machine stitch the tape in position.
Cut the tape to the desired length, separate the pieces and pin in position. Stitch along the tape edges, backstitching at each end. Sew across the ends for added security--take care when stitching the hook portion of the tape, as it can catch the thread and cause it to tangle or break.
If using hook-and-loop dots, don’t try to stitch around the perimeter. It’s easier to stitch a square or a star in the middle to secure (2).
