I've looked everywhere I can think for this pattern. It is for a medium weight fabric tote made (I think) of 2 squares of fabric sewn strategically into an open-topped tote with a handle to carry on your shoulder. I saw one for sale, but the maker wanted only to sell me a completed bag, not a pattern. The handle is made by joining a corner from each square, sewn in a little diamond. The body of the bag had one square seamed diagonally from the opening's center down to a corner. I believe it was about 24 inches across the bottom. Many thanks for any help!

When my daughter didn't need her baby blankets anymore, I decided to turn one into a poncho.
The blanket was 30"x30" and made of sweatshirt-material. The edges were already bound, so all I had to do was make an opening for the neck.
First, I measured my daughter's head circumference to make sure the opening wouldn't be too small.
Then I decided how I wanted to finish the neckline - ribbing, bias binding, hemming or creating a drawsrting. While any method would work, I chose the drawstring.
Folding the blanket in quarters, I carefully cut the neckline. I inserted 2 eyelets to pull the string through. Then I folded down the edges to sew the casing, then threaded the string through the casing. I used coordinating embroidery floss for the string. A button tied in the front keeps the string from pulling back into the casing.
Viola! A poncho perfect for chilly spring days. My next project - turning a lightweight blanket into a poncho to use as a beach cover-up.
