Directions

  1. Cut 2 of the body pattern piece from felt.
  2. Cut 3 or 4 of the pages pattern piece from wool scrapes.
  3. Make a row of cross stitches or decorative stitches along the bottom of the skirt on the front felt piece.
  4. Pile all the pieces to enclose the wool pages inside the felt pieces. They should all be piled at the neck area. Make a row of cross stitches through all the layers to hold them together.
  5. Make a row of blanket stitches, through both layers of felt, around the curved area of the bonnet. This area will be used for holding a thimble.
  6. Make a blanket stitch design around the front of the bonnet, through single layers of the felt, so that you maintain the opening.
