How To Sew a Corner Stuffed Animal Hammock
Debbie Colgrove

Stuffed animals have taken over my daughter's room. During the day they are on her bed but when it's time for her to go to bed, the animals all hit the floor. Being a worry wart, I like the floors clear at night in case there were ever a fire ... the bonus is I can vacuum her room even if she ran late in the morning.

Materials:
  • 1 3/4 - 2 yards of 60" wide fabric -- a fabric with some stretch works best. This is enough fabric for two hammocks.
  • Thread to match
  • Drapery or craft cord
  • 3 sturdy cup hooks (you may also need wall anchors)

    Cutting:
  • Open the fabric to a single thickness.
  • Fold the fabric cut edge to meet the selvedge, creating a triangle.
  • Trim away the excess fabric.
Cut the fold of the triangle edge (this will be a bias edge).
