Christmas Angels
Getting ready for Christmas, starts early with most crafters. But it never seems to be early enough when we are making ornaments, presents and home decorations. This week I would like to take you on a tour of the best Angel instruction sites. There is an unbelievable wealth of Angels for crafters.
Our first stop will be at Web Of Angels Class Room At Crafty Collage. This site is a find! They offer bulletin boards and chats, just for these projects and any problems you might encounter while making them. As you scan down the page, you'll discover all the projects available. If you've never visited Crafty Collage be sure to visit their home page to learn more about taking other classes on line. Sign In and meet others who are following the coarse. Visit the Black Board and ask or answer questions. I couldn't agree more with "There are no dumb questions" While I surfed the board I discovered even more angel ideas, that didn't have pages but did have descriptions on the board.
At the Web of Angels, some of my favorite projects, were:
Little Love, a 10" jointed Cherub, which had loads of pictures and detailed instructions.
Cloth Angel is a multi page presentation with very detailed instructions and a printer friendly page.
Jingle Bell Angel is an adorable ornament that has a bell under the lace. I plan on decorating presents with this little beauty. Loads of angels should get their wings while the packages are transported.
Angela is a beautiful angel holding a star. A full pattern is included with links at the bottom of the page. This one is bound to be an heirloom.
29 Inch Angel Plastic Bag Holder Pattern is a very detailed pattern that brings and angel into your home and takes care of all those plastic grocery bags.
There's even more, some for crochet and machine embroidery, with more being added all the time. Be sure to make your "To Do" list now and remember there are only so many days till Christmas.
For my next stop I surfed over to Get Creative. She hosts the beautiful Angel O’ Tulle. Tulle is a very economical choice for ornaments and package decorations. They have included pictures and directions.
Offray Ribbon has Ribbon Angel with full directions and a pattern, that would make a beautiful package tie on or tree ornament.

| Update 09/11/01:
The Angel Project is asking all Americans to make a handmade angel in honor of the September 11th victims. In December, we will personally deliver all angels to New York for a special memorial service. I know many of you will want to gather these free angel projects for Christmas but please remember the reason they are a free project and participate in The Angel Project. |
