By Debbie Colgrove
Through out the year we all make special gifts for loved ones. Finish the item with a label that says how much you care. This year my "favorite" project was a personalized shirt that I made for my niece. She recently became very involved with horseback riding and I wanted her to have something special for her riding lessons. A denim shirt with horse theme embroideries, as well as personalized, seemed the perfect answer. But I went one step further. Before I attached the collar, I embroidered an "Aunt Debbie Original" label.
How many of us have sewing machines with various letter capabilities that we never use? I am as guilty as the next person, for purchasing a machine with all kinds of capabilities that I never use. Here's a simple project to make your own labels and make your garments true originals.
