Create Your Own Size Fabric Dish or Dish Insulator
Continued from page 1
Debbie Colgrove

  • Measure the base of the dish you want to insulate or decide on your dish size.
    disp pattern diagram

    (For this example I'll use a 9" X 11" baking dish)
  • Add 6" to the length of the dish and to the width of the dish. Cut two pieces of fabric to the measurement. This example
              9+6= 15
              11+6= 17
So you would cut 15" X 17" rectangles of fabric
  • Cut the interfacing for the base of the dish, the size of the dish. (In this case the interfacing would be 9" X 11")
  • Cut two pieces of the interfacing for the sides of the dish 2 1/2" by the width of the dish. (In this example 2 1/2" X 9")
  • Cut two pieces of the interfacing for the sides of the dish 2 1/2" by the length of the dish. (In this example 2 ½" X 11")
Assemble as shown on Casserole Fabric Dish or Dish Insulator
