Fall Leaves and Acorn Shirt

You'll need the following materials to create this fall shirt or sweat shirt with colorful fall leaves and acorns:

• Print out oak leaf and acorn templatesor in PDF format. (Use a copy machine or a computer graphic program to re-size them if desired)
• Two shades of brown fabric for the acorns- a lighter brown for the nut part and a darker brown for the hat part.
• Colorful fabric in fall leaf colors for the leaves-- gradient colors work well.
• Rayon or polyester thread for the satin stitch and leaf veins.
• Fusible web (such as Heat N Bond or Stitch Witchery)
• A sewing machine with zig zag capabilities
• Sharp scissors
• A marking pencil
• Optional: bobbin thread (Bobbin thread is a thin thread that will create less bulk than regular thread)
