  • Apply fusible web to the back (wrong side) of your fabric following the manufacturer's directions.
  • Cut the acorn template into two pieces so that cap and the nut can be separate colors.
  • If there is paper backing, trace the template shape directly on to the paper and cut out the shapes. For no paper backing, trace the templates directly on the fabric.
  • Trace the leaf veins on to the fabric with a thin, barely visible, washable line or sew the veins "free hand" with the sewing machine.
