  • Turn the shirt right side out.
  • Following the red lines on the diagram, being careful to only cut the sweat shirt, cut the sweat shirt inside of the bottom row of stitching.
  • Each square is then cut diagonally in an X pattern.
  • To create the fringe, be sure to leave each strip at least a 1/2" wide at the top. It may be necessary to trim some of the fringe strips as you turn the corners
  • Place a pony bead on each fringe strip. Make a small knot on the end of each strip.
  • When the shirt is washed and dried, the cut sweat suit fabric will curl, creating the desired effect. The same effect can be created by putting the shirt in the dryer with a wet wash cloth.
