Prepare the Pockets
  • Turn and press under 1/4" on the 8" edges of the pocket.
  • Turn and press under 1/4" on the 9 edge of the pocket.
  • Turn and press under 1 1/2" on the top 8" edge of the pocket.
  • Place the trim along the top edge on the right side of the pocket, leaving 1/2" extra on each edge.
  • Tuck the extra 1/2" under the hem.
  • Sew the hem and trim in place the same way you did the hem and trim of the apron.
Attach the Pockets
  • Measure 4" in from the hemmed bottom edge and 5" in from the side hemmed edge.
  • Place Bottom corner of the pocket at the mark.
  • Keeping the pocket 5 inches from the bottom hemmed edge, pin the pocket in place.
  • Starting at the top hemmed edge and pivoting at the corners, sew the pocket in place, back stitching at the top edge to reinforce the pocket.
