Instructions to sew the coin compartment of a women's wallet.

  1. Place the center of the zipper between two layers of piece D, right sides of the fabric together, on a 4 1/4" edge, aligning the edges of the fabric and the edge of the zipper tape.
  2. Stitch the zipper tape between the fabric, using a 1/4" seam.
  3. Press the fabric back to expose the zipper.
  4. Edge stitch the edge of the fabric at the edge near the zipper to prevent the fabric from being caught in the zipper.
  5. Adjust the length of the zipper leaving a 1/4" seam allowance on both ends of the zipper.
  6. Repeat Step 1,2,3 and 4 for the second side of the zipper.
  7. Align the edges of the fabric.
  8. Baste the edges of all four layers together to form a coin pouch.
