Sew The Purse Bottom & Strap

Purse Bottom With Piping Attached & Sewn Strap

All instructions refer to a 1/2" seam allowance unless otherwise noted.

The Bottom Of The Purse

  • Press or stitch the interfacing to the bottom piece.
  • Sew piping to the right side of the bottom. (Find more information on How to Cover Cording and Create Piping.)
  • Attach piping to the bottom piece

Sewing The Strap

  • Press strap in half lengthwise wrong sides together. Press both raw edges in to the center pressed line, enclosing the raw edges.
  • Top stitch 1/8" from each lengthwise edge to stabilize the strap.
