The Pocketbook Body - Side Seams

  • Interface the sides if desired.
  • Place right sides together, stitch the 12" edges.
    Optional Drawstring Opening
    • Measure up 5" from the bottom of the side seam panels.
    • Leave an opening 3/4" long and then continue the side seam to the end of the fabric.
    • Press the seam open.
    • Sew a rectangle around the opening in the seam to reinforce the opening.
  • Press the seams open.
  • Serge or zig zag the top raw edge.
