You will need:
- The laptop
- A tape measure
- A pencil or pen
- pattern material -- this can be newsprint paper, the back side of gift wrapping paper, interfacing or similar material.
- Fabric (amount will depend on your laptop pattern) and optional double fold bias tape to enclose the upper edge of the case depending on the fabric you are using.
- Hook and loop tape (Velcro) to close the case. You will need a piece a bit smaller than the width of the case.
- A The distance around the laptop from top edge to the other top edge. Shown in Green
- B The amount of flap you want, starting at the second top edge to the amount you want to overlap the front of the case. Shown in yellow.
- C The thickness of the laptop. Shown in red.
- D The width of the laptop. Shown in blue.
