  • Lay the body of the bag flat.
  • Place the end edges of the fringe in the end of the strap bringing th side edge of the fringe and bag in to the center fold of the strap.
  • Keep the strap evenly placed on both sides of the bag.
  • Pin the strap in place on one side.
  • Repeat for the other side of the bag, being sure that the strap is not twisted.
  • Pin or baste the entire strap in place.
  • Top stitch the strap in place, by sewing an even distance from the folded edge of the strap that is on the outer fabric, sewing through all the layers.
  • If desired, top stitch again an even distance from the outer folded edge of the strap.
