Tote Bag with a Zipped Center Pocket

  • 1 Yard of double sided pre-quilted fabric
  • 1/2 yard of sturdy fabric for the center pocket
  • A 22" Pocketbook zipper (or all purpose if you don't want a two way slide)
  • Thread
Cutting
  • Body of the bag -- Square the end of the fabric and cut a 24" length. Trim the selvedge edges. Mark the half way point of the width of the fabric on both edges or by pressing.
  • Handles - Cut two 6" wide strips the width of the fabric.
  • Inside Pocket -- cut one piece 24" by 28". Mark the halfway point of the 28" edge on both edges or by pressing.
