- Align the sides of the bag and pocket, matching all the raw edges with the wrong sides of the bag together and the pocket inside so that the seam is on the outside of the bag.
- Sew using an approximately 3/4" seam allowance. Use a wider seam allowance for very lofty fabric.
- Trim away one seam allowance, leaving the end fold in tact.
- Turn under the wider seam allowance to create a flat felled seam.
- Place the pocket under the oppisite side from the one you are sewing so you will not sew over the pocket or pocket zipper.
- Sew along the edge of the newly folded edge to finish creating the flat felled seam.
