A standard curtain rod requires an inch and a half casing opening.
Sew a line of straight top stitching 1 1/2" from the stitching at the bottom of the header. This is an excellent time to set a seam guide so that all of the stitching is the same distance. The stitching needs to be uniform on each panel for the curtains to hang evenly.
