Using stencils or any painting method decorate your fabric. Take your time and allow colors to dry. Learn basic painting methods from About.com painting guide The stencil shown here is from -Indygo Junction Allow a layer of paint to absorb and dry before giving it a second coat. Working on fabric will allow the fabric to absorb the paint and you may need to do a second and even third coat to achieve your desired results.
Tulip Fabric paint does not include any clean up instructions because it is designed to use like a pen on fabric. To prevent any damage to my good paint brushes I used a foam brush as a stencil brush with the Tulip paint. The paint did rinse out of the brush when I was finished.
Embellish! Try using Textile Markers to "spice up" your stencils.
