Free Pattern & Directions to Sew a Bitter Cold Face Warmer

This face warmer is a simple tube of fabric. The cold weather is brutal and wind chill warnings are out -- There's nothing better than staying in and sewing! But you can make it even better by making something for when you have no choice but to be out in the cold.

Here's a very simple project that will use up your fleece scraps and keep your face warm in the bitter winter cold.

• Cut a 12" by 22" piece of fleece - stretch in the 22" length of the fabric
• Match the 12" edges with wrong sides together, stitch along the 12" edge using a 1/2" seam. Serge or zig zag the seam allowance.
• Serge or zig zag the raw edges of the tube. Fold each edge under 1/2" and top stitch in place. It is best to use a stretch stitch or narrow zig zag for the top stitching, to prevent popped stitches.
