Free Sewing Pattern to Sew a Dog Coat for a Small Dog

This dog coat can be water resistant and warm for a small dog during the nasty cold weather. Consider embroidery designs to encourage or discourage people from approaching your dog.

Materials

• Print out of Dog Coat Pattern - This PDF file will require legal size paper to print properly with your printer set to print on legal size paper. The pattern pieces are overlay-ed so you will need to trace the small pieces or print two copies and cut out the small pieces.
• 1/2 yard or 18" by 22" rectangle of water resistant fabric such as windbreaker nylon
• 1/2 yard or 18" by 22" rectangle of soft fabric such as fleece
• 6" of 2" wide hook and loop tape
• Thread to match the outer fabric, fleece and hook and loop tape
