Measure the distance between the side seams and from the hemmed edge to the folded edge.
Cut layers of padding to that measurement. The number of layers will depend on how thick your chosen padding is.
Sew a zigzag stitch on the edges of the layers of padding, securing the layers. Sew a X through the center of the padding.
