When my daughter asked for a "Furby" Costume, I didn't even know what "Furby" was.

I created the costume totally from pictures found on the Internet. The body of the costume is four panels shaped similar to the hanging hand towel pattern.
The fur is backed with two layers of batting and there are two hoola-hoops tacked inside the lower part of the boy to hold it in place.
I purchased a dollar store pumpkin mask, attached fabric to the mask with rubber cement and decorated it to create a "Furby" face. The mouth is two inexpensive foam visors covered in felt. Once I had the face the way I wanted it I place it in place while she had the costume on and then cut out the main costume behind the mask and basted the mask to the costume. Using the elastic on the mask, drew the face to her face so she could see where she was going.
The ears of the costume are very heavy interfacing, covered with fur that is held on with rubber cement and hand basted to the costume.
The head "spikes" are wool roving, wrapped around pipe cleaners and hand basted to the top ot the costume.
For the feet, I bought large fluffy slippers and used the ideas conveyed in Create Costume Footwear. I basted the new leg and foot covering to the slippers so the slippers can still be used after Halloween.
