When you buy items in that clear heavy duty plastic, you fight to get the item out of the package. Now we have a reason to save that packaging... at least the flat parts of it.
Cut strips of that heavy duty packaging and use it in your Halloween costumes when you want a stiff part but don't want your stiffening agent to show. Use a heavy duty sewing machine needle and quality thread to sew the strips of packaging on to netting, tulle or fabric to create a stand up fabric.
  • Use a craft knife or razor knife to cut the packaging.
  • Use an emery board or file to round off sharp corners and edges.
