- Use hand sewing or hot glue to attach ornaments of your choice to the tree.
Optional Decorating Ideas
- Use battery operated LED lights to light up the tree and topper. NEVER sew through the wires.
- Light up the tree topper by adding garland and lights to the edge of the star, hiding the battery pack inside the tree.
- Use glow in the dark thread to embroider designs on the felt before assembling.
- Create ornaments from glittery pipe cleaners and other lightweight craft items.
- Cut shapes out of reflective tape (available in hardware departments)and stick them to the tree. Use Christmas cookie cutters as templates for the shapes.
- Use glue to create shapes on the felt and allow glitter to stick to the glue.
- Sew bits of left over trim to resemble ornaments.
