Gather Your Materials:
- A pillowcase -- one worn to tissue paper thin is not worth using as it will rip in no time. Make Your Own Pillowcase
- A sewing machine that can sew buttonholes. You may prefer small grommets or eyelets to use instead of buttonholes.
- Ribbon or cording to use as a draw string. Measure the top edge of your pillowcase and add one foot for the amount to buy. Most pillowcases will use XX" of drawstring.
- An iron or chalk to mark the placement of the buttonholes.
- Optional: A toggle to "lock" the drawstring. (For those who are supply impaired locally like I am, I save toggles and hardware off of old jackets and backpacks.)
