Buttonholes in the Hem

  • Sew a buttonhole at each mark. If you have never sewn a buttonhole before, replicate the hem area using scraps of fabric and mark numerous buttonhole markings on the scrap. Then practice sewing a couple buttonholes on the scrap before sewing them on the pillowcase.
  • Carefully open each buttonhole. (This is another process that is great to practice on the scrap buttonholes to prevent cutting through the ends of the buttonholes.)
