- Make 4" strips out of your remaining fabric for a ruffle.
- Join the strips together at their narrow ends to create on long strip.
- Use your serger to make rolled hem along one raw edge. (If you don't have a serger, sew a narrow baby hem by turning under the edge of the fabric a scant 1/4" and turn under again to enclose the raw edge. Then stitch in place.}
- Use a ruffler or a long basting stitch along the raw edge of your ruffle strip to gather it. How Ruffles Are Gathered & Formed
- Optional; Layer lace trim into the ruffle if desired.
- Create even division of the edge of the skirt and even divisions of the ruffle. See Sewing Ruffles and Gathers - How Ruffles Are Gathered & Formed for more information
- Use the division marks to align the ruffle to the skirt to evenly distribute the ruffle.
- Placing the right sides of the ruffle and skirt together, attach the ruffle to outer edge of the circle.
