Feel weird about dressing up in a costume but at the same time you want to be in on the fun? A shirt with a jack-o-lantern appliquéd may be just the answer! I now have a sweat shirt that allows me to have some spirit! My daughter wants one to wear to school since she can't wear her costume there.

Gather your materials:
  • Print out of pattern pieces
  • 11” square of pumpkin color fabric
  • 11” square of fabric the color of a jack-o-lantern eyes, nose and mouth
  • Scrap of stem color fabric
  • 2/3 yard of paper backed light weight fusible
  • pencil
  • dressmakers carbon (This is an excellent place to use Mark-B-Gone Tracing Paper
  • Thread-- Stem and Pumpkin Colors (I used Coats & Clark Fashion Brights to add more pizzaz. You may want to explore using Solar Active Thread for more fun.)
