Assemble the Stocking Top Pieces

Assemble the top section of a Christmas stocking.

• With right sides together, pin and seam the sides of the stocking top and the lining.
  
  
• Press and apply a seam finish.
  
  
• Turn the lining right side out. Place the lining inside the outer fabric, right sides together.
  
  
• Align the narrower edges, pin and sew in place.
  
  
• Apply a seam finish and press.
  
  
• Turn right sides out. Press the seamed edge.
  
  
• Align the outer fabric and lining edges. Baste upper edges together.
