Sew a Christmas Tree Skirt with a Scalloped Edge

• Fabric - 4 yards of 45" wide fabric
• Compass, circle template or dinner plate
• Thread - lots of it for satin stitching the edge OR approximately 4 packages of double fold bias tape to enclose the raw edges OR 12 yards of piping trim.
• Optional -- A serger with a rolled hem plate to enclose the edge rather than using a satin stitch, bias tape or piping.

• Materials
• Create the Body of the Skirt
• Create the Circle
• Create the Scallops
• Edge option 1 -- Enclosing the Raw Edges with Satin Stitch or Rolled Hem
• Edge option 2 -- Enclosing the Edges with Bias Tape
• Edge option 3 -- Piping or Trim Edge
