How to Make the Base Pattern Pieces to Sew a Pet Bed

Cut the circle in half and insert 6" in the center of the circle to create an oval. As shown in the photo, it is easiest to just trace the new pattern on a larger piece than tape a piece into the center of the original circle.
This completes the Piece that will be in contact with the floor but you will be using this piece to create the upper part of the pet bed base (the part the pet will be resting on).
