  • Starting in the center of the design and working toward the edges, stitch around the edges of the flowers and petals, removing the pins as you come to them. You may want to mark out the stitching with a vanishing pen before you start an area for easier visibility.
  • The sample shown here was machine stitched using a stitch which mimics a hand quilting stitch.
    • On Janome Memory Craft 11000, this stitch is Quilting Stitch 9, using invisible thread as the upper thread and the tension adjusted to 8.0
    • On an Elna 6005 this stitch is Mode 1/Stitch 15, using invisible thread for the upper thread and the tension set at 8
  • To stitch by hand, place the pillow front in an embroidery hoop.
