  • Place the fabric pieces right sides together, aligning the edges.
  • Using a scant 1/2" seam allowance, sew the edges of the pieces together, except for the wrist edge. At the indent for the thumb, follow the seam guide with the edge of the fabric until you must sew to the dot that was transferred on to the fabric.
  • Carefully clip to the thumb dot, cutting close to the dot but not through the dot or stitches.
  • Zigzag the seam allowances together on the newly cut edges.
  • Turn the mitt right side out. If your quilted fabric is extremely thick or if you were generous with your seam allowance, you may have to trim and re-finish the seam allowance.
  • Press well.
