Here is a pie you can make and take with you, no matter how far you are traveling. It makes a wonderful gift for any home. Anytime your potpourri starts to lose it's fragrance, add a drop of fragrant oil to revitalize the pie.

Materials List

  • 2/3 Yard of 45" unbleached muslin
  • 9" disposable foil pie plate or an old pie plate
  • Pinking shears or pinking rotary cutter
  • Potpourri - approximately 3 1/2 Cups
  • Tulle or fine netting
  • Cinnamon stick or dried fruit to decorate the pie
  • Small piece of ribbon for decorating the pie.
  • Hot glue or tacky glue
Cutting Directions
  • Cut two strip of 45" wide muslin muslin 6" by the 45 " width
  • Cut 6 Strips 1" by 11" with pinking shears
  • Cut one 21" wide circle of tulle or netting - this can be a rough circle as it is used to make a pouch to hold the potpourri.
