Materials Needed:

Print out of pattern
One kitchen or hand towel
A scrap of fabric, large enough to cut two of the pattern piece, which coordinates with the towel.
One package of double fold or extra wide double fold bias tape which coordinates with the towel and fabric.
Thread

Note: Quilted fabric can be used but will be more bulky than plain fabric to work with. Where the directions tell you to baste the edges, consider using a narrow zig zag stitch to compress the layers which will make it easier to enclose the fabric in the bias tape.

Cut two of the pattern pieces from your fabric.
Gather the towel to fit the bottom edge of the fabric.
Sandwiching the towel between the fabric, place the right side of the towel on the right side of the fabric at the bottom edge of the fabric. Place the second fabric piece on top of the towel creating a sandwich with the towel being the meat of the sandwich.
Sew the layers using a 1/2" seam allowance.

Press well so the right side of the fabric is upward from the towel, with the seam allowance under the fabric.

Baste the side edges together at the very edge.
Cut two 18" long pieces of bias tape.
Press the ends of the bias tape in on itself to enclose the raw end.
Starting at the bottom edge, where the bias tape end is pressed in, enclose a side edge of the fabric.
Start sewing at the bottom of the fabric and sew to the end of the bias tape.
Repeat for the second side
